The Rapid Energy Assistance Program is a new program designed to deploy federal VERAP grant money more efficiently to heating fuel providers. This money is available to pay 18 months of heating fuel expenses for renters that earn less than 80% of the area median income (). The funds can go toward both back balances and future deliveries for qualified applicants.
