Help a Neighbor in Need by
“Splitting the Ticket”
Please consider donating to VFDA’s Split the Ticket program this heating season. Every dollar will be matched by a local fuel dealer to help a family in their community. Vermont’s heating fuel dealers
are mostly small, family-owned businesses. They recognize the need for assistance first hand and
are often the first to respond in a crisis, especially when the family is unaware or unable to receive government assistance — or is simply too proud
to ask for help.
Thanks to the generosity of Vermont fuel dealers, along with local businesses and organizations, VFDA’s Split the Ticket program provided nearly 6,000 gallons of free heating fuel to Vermonters in need last winter. We hope to do the same this winter with your help.
Thank you!

Under the Split the Ticket Program, heating fuel retailers agree to donate a delivery of oil, kerosene, or propane to a neighbor in need. Those pledged gallons will be matched with donations from the community. All funds are used to match fuel donations by Vermont’s oil and propane dealers—none are used to administer the program.
